At Futura Electronics, we are committed to conducting our operations in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. We recognise that our business activities—from sourcing raw materials to energy consumption, packaging, and waste disposal—have environmental impacts. We are dedicated to minimising these impacts and continually improving our environmental performance.
We are especially proud to be part of the Balbriggan community, and we are committed to playing an active role in protecting and enhancing the local environment—for our wellbeing and for that of future generations. We also aim to inspire our staff, customers, and suppliers to adopt more sustainable practices and contribute to a greener economy.
Our Commitments
We pledge to:
• Develop and maintain a Sustainability & Environmental Policy, setting out clear goals and initiatives, reviewed and updated annually to ensure continual improvement.
• Comply fully with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations, and aim to exceed them where feasible.
• Prioritise sustainable sourcing by choosing suppliers who demonstrate strong environmental and ethical standards and encourage such practices throughout their supply chains.
• Reduce energy consumption through investment in energy-efficient technologies and processes
• Wherever possible, we reuse packaging materials received from suppliers and we are tracking this to establish measurable targets.
• Support the local economy by prioritising local employment, sourcing goods and services locally.
• Engage actively with our community, supporting local initiatives, charities, and clubs—including the GAA, the local hospice, and other local organisations—through fundraising and sponsorship.
Communication and Review
This policy will be communicated across the organisation and made publicly available. It will be reviewed regularly, alongside our Environmental Policy, to ensure relevance, assess progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
